Application
The plastic heat recovery exchangers are generally used for high-efficiency heat recovery from return air to preheat fresh air supplied to residential, commercial and industrial buildings.
Basic characteristic
The plate heat exchangers are available in two basic configurations – cross-flow with efficiency approx. 50 to 67 % and counterflow with efficiency 70 to 90 %. All types of the plate exchangers are made of hPS plastic. They are characterized by low weight, high recovery efficiency, hermetic separation of supply and exhaust air, high resistance against aggressive environment (e.g. in swimming pool halls, industrial areas), and low hydraulic pressure drop.
The exchangers are available in number of different designs and sizes according to customers’ needs. For very aggressive environment the are built in a plastic casing. They are available with an optional built-in bypass.
Features
- High recovery efficiency (54 to 90 % based on type)
- Designed for airflow 150 m3/h to 17.000 m3/h
- Low pressure drop
- Low weight
- High corrosion resistance in moist and aggressive chemical environment
- Wide design variability including atypical and special custom-made solutions
